      <image:title>About - Trust and Transparency.</image:title>
<image:caption>We regard our patients as friends, family, colleagues, and fellow community members. We value relationships over “throughput”, “productivity”, or any of the other corporate terms that have infiltrated medicine. Patients are not products. Inside all of us is a unique individual, anatomically speaking, with internal intricacies just as diverse as the external distinctions we see in the mirror. Trust us to help see the “real” you on the inside. Your medical imaging, just like your body, is your personal, private property. Our job is to simply translate.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Boulder Radiologists has been the bedrock of medical imaging in Boulder and surrounding areas for over 40 years. We strive to accelerate the health and wellness of the fittest, happiest, and healthiest people in the country. The standard is set: our progressive ideas and cutting edge therapies triumph over the conventional, standardized process that so often fails patients.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Cancer Treatments - Y-90 Radioembolization</image:title>
<image:caption>Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) destroys tumors from the inside out. Not the type of radiation beamed into you that requires multiple sessions, but internal particle radiation deployed inside the tumor from a catheter in the artery. By cutting off the blood supply to the tumor and trapping radiation inside, the cancer cells die, while the surrounding normal cells survive.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Cancer Treatments - TACE</image:title>
<image:caption>Transarterial Chemoembolization is an outpatient procedure that injects extremely high doses of chemotherapy directly into tumors while cutting off the cancer cell’s blood supply. Unlike systemic chemotherapy, this method targets the tumor itself and spares the remainder of the body, thus significantly reducing side effects such as hair loss.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Microwave. Radiofrequency. Cryo. We offer all types of ablation for cancer in the liver, kidney, lung, and bone. Often with a “curative intent”, meaning after one single outpatient procedure, the tumor is completely destroyed. All without surgery.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Cancer Treatments - Biopsy</image:title>
<image:caption>Radiologists spend years of training in becoming the experts at the initial diagnosis and staging of cancer, and Boulder Radiologists use all available imaging modalities to safely obtain small samples of tissue from worrisome lesions. MRI, CT, ultrasound, and stereotactic mammography are used for biopsy guidance to help avoid more invasive, surgical approaches.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Thomas Fahrbach - Thomas M. Fahrbach, M.D.</image:title>
<image:caption>Dr. Fahrbach is an established and highly regarded physician who is well awarded after a career start in academic medicine where he earned numerous accolades for his quality and patient-centered care. After serving as Director of the Interventional Radiology Residency and Fellowship programs, and being the youngest radiologist to be presented the Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award, Dr. Fahrbach moved to Boulder after being attracted to the independent mindset of the Boulder Community Health System, and to raise his two children in his wife’s native State of Colorado. With a focus on providing the community with personalized treatments typically only found in large academic medical centers, Dr. Fahrbach understands the importance of avoiding the trap of conventional, standardized therapies that so often fail patients. He has academic-forged expertise in cancer treatments including Y90 radioembolization, transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), microwave ablation, cryoablation, and radio-frequency ablation. His oncology background includes numerous publications and clinical trials, and his technical skills were established from the high demands at some of the best cancer centers in the nation. He provides comprehensive cancer care by offering initial diagnosis with safe, minimally invasive biopsies, as well as adjunctive procedures including chest ports and spine interventions such as vertebroplasty with ablation. Dr. Fahrbach also specializes in vascular diseases including the newest approaches in treating deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, which are commonly encountered at higher elevations.
